This position is responsible for providing support to all financial and accounting activities of the organization and ensures all company's payables, disbursements, and other operating expenses are processed in a timely manner.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepares payable and journal vouchers, expense, and accounts payable reports;
2. Checks and updates correct entries in payable and journal vouchers;
3. Maintains and monitors request of payment forms and series of numbers used;
4. Monitors prepayments to suppliers and prepares adjustments of advance payment through journal entries;
5. Analyzes prepares, and issues BIR 2307 forms to suppliers;
6. Consolidates weekly line-up of payments;
7. Maintains, monitors, and requests payable and journal vouchers;
8. Summarizes and analyzes credit card expenses to which account the company will shoulder the expense;
9. Maintains records, documents and organizes the files and archive system to facilitate expeditious retrieval of information;
10. Responds inquiries, suggestions, or complaints concerning finance and accounting services;
11. Performs related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. A graduate of accountancy, banking, and finance, commerce, financial management, or any related courses;
2. Preferably with at least six (6) months experience as a finance and accounting assistant in a corporate environment or equivalent professional practice;
3. Proficient in basic computer programs (word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software and internet navigation and email);
Proficient in written and communication skills;
Excellent decision making, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
6. Highly organized and has an eye for detail;
7. Self-motivated and hardworking;
8. Positive personal values and strong work ethic;
9. Familiar with banking operations and central bank procedures;
10. Strict in implementing rules, regulations, & policies.-Requirements- Minimum education level: Bachelor ́s Degree
