Finance and Accounting ManagerExcelsior Farms Inc.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Establishes, implements and oversees overall Finance and Accounting strategy and operations with generally accepted principles and reporting standards.
2. Management and control of company budget and assist the management in securing funds and investments.
3. Ensures and implements tax planning throughout the fiscal year.
4. Continuously reviews, assess current finance and accounting practices, procedures and make recommendations to improve the full finance and accounting cycle.
5. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all finance and accounting records and during month end closing.
6. Management and supervision of the activities of the Finance and Accounting Department and assist the management in strategic analysis and planning.
7. Preparation of financial documentation and reports as required by the banks and other finance agencies.
8. Review of monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) consolidate financial reports, monitor accounts, budgets, accounts analysis for management reporting and prepares activity reports and financial forecast.
9. Presents recommendations to management on short term and long-term financial objectives and policies
10. Responsible for auditing of accounts to ensure compliance with government regulations and coordinates with external auditors
11. Oversees and controls the flow of cash, income, expenditures and financial instruments.
12. Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets.
13. Identify, investigate, analyze potential finance and accounting process improvement and collaborates with all departments for the integration of Finance and Accounting policies and procedures
14. Investigate ways to improve and /or maintain profitability and cash flows.
15. Performance of financial risk assessments
16. Coordination with outsourced firms for specific projects
17. Conducts annual budget processing
18. Other tasks assigned by immediate superior.
 
Job Qualifications:
1. A graduate of BS Accountancy and must be a Certified Public Accountant
2. At least 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager and 4 years as Senior Accounting Supervisor
3. With at least 5-8 years of relevant experience and with people management
4. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
