Degalen Corporation is one of the major suppliers of bearings and related mill supplies in the country currently serving Industrial and Shipping companies located in the Visayas and Mindanao Region.
 
With fewer than 30 employees, we are looking for a Finance & Accounting Supervisor to lead our accounting team and ensure our financial operations run smoothly. This is a hands-on role that combines accounting oversight, compliance, and financial reporting, while also supporting management with insights for better decision-making.
 
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and guide the accounting team (Accounting Associate, Compliance Officer, and Collections Officer).
Oversee full-cycle accounting: bookkeeping, reconciliations, monthly closings, and journal entries.
Manage payroll preparation and ensure timely compliance with government requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
Handle tax filings and statutory obligations (VAT, withholding tax, income tax, etc.), coordinating with external auditors/consultants as needed.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; assist in budgeting and forecasting.
Monitor costs, COGS, and product profitability; provide recommendations for pricing and cost efficiency.
Maintain and improve internal controls, processes, and documentation.
Provide the CEO and management with timely financial analysis, reports, and insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience, with supervisory or lead exposure preferred.
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and statutory compliance.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP B1, or similar) and MS Excel.
Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently in an SME environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred but not required:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Experience in costing, budgeting, and process improvement.
