Handles installation of POS Terminals and provides orientations to merchants regarding proper terminal usage;
Conducts troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to POS Terminals. Check the terminal appearance, connection, working conditions and perform test transactions for all card brands;
Accomplishes the Engineer Activity Report (EAR) for service activity done; attach a test transaction receipt as proof that work is correct and efficient;
Calls POS Help Desk to complete and update the service activity while on merchant premise;
Relay concerns regarding merchant satisfaction, POS terminal performance, and suggestion for service improvements;
Performs technical-related tasks such as re-programming, site visit, software update, terminal swapping, and pullout activity as requested by the client;
Turnovers pulled-out / defective spare units to head office at the end of every workday;
Caters service to LAN-based terminals and other related network connections; and
Installs and conducts preventive maintenance to IEN devices.
Graduate of four (4)-year bachelor's degree preferably of Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Technology courses and/or equivalent;
No relevant working experience as POS Field Engineer is required;
Have attended various network-related training programs; and
Preferably has a motorcycle to facilitate efficient merchant servicing.
