Field Communications Assistant
ROLE PURPOSE:
1. Primarily responsible for community engagement and coordination in an assigned SCP geographical area.
2. Documents livelihood practices and products developed by partners and beneficiaries covering traditional weaving, wood works, beads and crafts, food, agri business.
3. Develop stories for posting in social media and mass media outlets in a weekly and monthly basis.
4. Develop an over-all package that integrates an inventory of all products developed/produced in Marawi and Lanao del Sur into a visible map.
5. Supports documentation of project activities and complies with administrative, supply chain and financial requirements.
6. The Field Communication Assist. represents Save the Children in communities and with stakeholders, e.g. community leaders, representatives from donors, government, and other agencies as instructed, delegated and required by the BARMM Team Leader.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's or associate's degree in communications, journalism and broadcasting are preferred. Persons who have some previous internship experience have higher chances of being selected for the job.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft word and excel application
Effective communication skills, both in written and verbal forms in order to establish effective relationships with a wide range of audiences, including at a geographical distance
Ability to think and act fast
High flexibility
Strong sense of urgency and work ethic.
Can tolerate working under ambiguous circumstances and sometimes difficult situations
Understands and believes in Save the Children's mission and vision; commits to its objectives and willing to adopt Save the Children's methodology and framework.
Contract Length: Casual Employee for 3 months based in Marawi City under Iligan City Office.
