Job Summary:
Shall implements SFI programs and initiatives in his/her designated area of operations (municipal/city and covered barangays) and performs administrative tasks, and logistical coordination under the technical and administrative supervision of the Area Officer
Job Description:
1. Implement Tugon sa Gutom Program at the barangay level in his/her designated city or municipality. Specifically, carry out the following under the guidance of the Area Officer and in coordination with the agri-technicians of the LGUs:
1.1. conduct of action planning and review
1.2. training of barangay Food Security teams
1.3. coordination with the barangay Food Security teams for the implementation of field activities
1.4. provide technical guidance in the establishment and management of family farms and crop
management
1.5. prepares and submits activity reports
2. Assist the KM teams in the pre-work and actual conduct of TSG's monitoring and evaluation activities
3. Performs logistical tasks such as:
3.1. Reservation of venues
3.2. Coordination with partner LGU and other stakeholders
3.3. Preparation and printing of attendance sheets, handouts, and other reference materials
3.4. Sending invitations and correspondences and following them up with the LGU and participants
4. Provide administrative assistance during meetings/activities and perform note-taking or documentation
Job Qualifications:
Graduate of a four-year course related to agriculture from duly recognized and reputable national and/or regional agricltural colleges and universities.
Professional license in agriculture is an advantage for career growth in the Foundation
At least 1 year of experience in project implementation, training and extension work on agriculture
Agriculture - specifically on any of the following courses or specialization: agronomy, horticulture, agroforestry and animal science
The job will require field work most of the time, visiting participating communities and farming households and assessing status of their family farms or home gardens and provide technical assistance to them in addressing their problems. Coordinating with the Municipal or City Agriculture office for supplementary technical assistance and training. Does a lot of coordination with LGUs and relevant offices in the conduct of training. Will also report to the Area Officer everyweek for updating and discussion of technical and administrative needs and problems for resolution. Prepares weekly updates/report for the weekly online staff meeting. Occasionally, uses own money in case processing and release of cash advances are delayed.
