Job Description
Job Objectives:
To ensure proper accounting of Finished Goods inventory, that physical count reconciles with the accounting perpetual count.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts daily inventory count of all Finished Goods (FG) items stored in the warehouse.
Ensures that FG inventory count reconciles with accounting perpetual count.
Prepares and submits daily and monthly finished goods inventory reports for management's information.
Traces inventory variances and seeks Warehouse Manager's disposition of the variance.
Coordinates with accounting Inventory Analyst for actions on the variance disposition.
Keeps records of the variance disposition.
Ensures that all FG movements in the warehouse are properly documented.
Ensures that proper storage of the finished goods. Non-conformance to the standard storing procedure should be reported to the Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Supervisor for immediate action.
Monitors and submits regular report on FG aging. Near to expire product should be reported immediately.
Monitors Finished Goods condition during the conduct of the physical daily physical. Non-conformance product should be recorded and reported accordingly.
Monitors Finished Goods movement and reports to Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager for FIFO non-compliance
Prepares and updates the Variance Cause Analysis report.
Other Tasks:
Maintains files of all warehouse documents relating to finished goods inventory
Ensures compliance to food safety standards set by Halal, HACCP & GMP.
Performs other related activities that may be assigned by immediate superior.
FOOD SAFETY:
Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.
OTHER TASKS:
Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of a 4 yr course.
Experience:
The position requires 6 months experience as warehouse checker.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures specifically in relation to inventory.
Ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues
Good command of English, both oral and written
Confidence, ethics and perseverance
Capability of handling confidential matters.
Computer literacy in data processing and required software
Speed and accuracy in performing simple mathematical calculations with the aid of a computer, calculator or an adding machine
