Job Description
Production Planning * Coordinates with Warehousing and Distribution Team for production planning schedule
Prepares and implements workable feed production plan to ensure that forecast is met.
Manages the production coordination team to ensure availability of finished product , raw materials and supplies, mill spare parts and others necessary for efficient operation
Feed Mill Operation * Responsible for coordinating all phases of the feed manufacturing process.
Maintains and keep high plant efficiency for achievement of overall financial objectives
Maintains manufacturing processes by determining needed improvements, leads the investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for manufacturing deviations.
Implements an efficient inventory control system for raw materials, packaging materials and other factory supplies under the custody of production to ensure no stock-out, avoid production downtime and minimize inventory variances
Monitors and ensures that product quality meets standards.
Manages manufacturing cost within budget
Production Machine and Equipment * Coordinates with the Engineering and Maintenance Department for schedule and prioritization of work orders and other activities relative to maintaining the plant efficiency.
Ensures effective maintenance of mill equipment ensuring maximum uptime.
Reviews mill equipment efficiencies and implement innovation to increase productivity in all phases of production processes
Strategic and Financial Planning * Prepares and implement departmental strategic and operational plan
Prepares and keep annual departmental budget
HR Role of A Leader * Manages manpower development ensuring proper training of personnel.
Motivates production personnel to maintain a high level of motivation, productivity and efficiency.
Conducts regular monthly production meetings with subordinates to discuss production performance and target of coming month.
Conducts regular feedback session to direct reports
Company Programs * Manages and implement company programs in the department
Manages and implements assigned corporate programs
Food Safety: * Ensures execution of quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations within the team.
Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety, and quality management system to identified authorities.
Takes accountability for the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System and religious requirements.
Ensures that the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives are established for the Integrated Management System and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization.
Ensures the integration of the quality management system requirements into the organization's business processes.
Promotes the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking.
Ensures that the resources needed for the quality management system are available.
Communicates the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the quality management system requirements.
Ensures that the quality management system achieves its intended results.
Engages, directs, and supports persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Promotes improvement and supports other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility.
Other Tasks: * Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the team leader.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience:
10 years experience in feed milling industry,
5 years supervisory experience with background in Production Planning.
Licenses:
Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
Other Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of production operation and financial impact of operations in terms of efficiency
Working knowledge of compressed air principle, boiler operation, electrical control system, thermodynamics and machine operation
Thorough knowledge of warehousing and inventory control
Basic knowledge and understanding of ingredient profile relative to formulation and effect on products
Strong leadership abilities and interpersonal relations, skills in handling conflicts among subordinates,
Planning, analytical, numerical, problem-solving skills
