Overview:
URC is searching for an experienced Family Planning/Quality Improvement (FP/QI) Coordinator for the USAID BARMMHealth project in Philippines. BARMMHealth is a five-year project to bolster the capacity of the Ministry of Health- Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) in facilitating local health solutions in family planning, adolescent and youth reproductive health, and maternal and child health, towards self-reliance and sustainability.
The project works on three objectives: Improve social norms and strengthened healthy behaviors among underserved adolescents, youth, women and men, fortify quality of family planning and maternal and child health service, and bolster key public health policies and systems needed to support behaviors and services for maternal and child health.
Responsibilities:
The FP/QI Coordinator will support field-level QI activities and ensure improved quality FP services delivery.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Supports field-level QI activities, including coaching and supportive supervision of provincial improvement teams and FP-QI coordinator;.
Liaises with local facilities to determine priorities and engage supervisors in capacity building interventions;
Collaborates with Integrated Provincial Health Office to lead on-site continuing medical education activities, and other QI activities as needed;
Ensures measurable changes in quality of FP service delivery;
Ensures increase in the utilization of services; and
Collaborates with MEL team to ensure high-quality data collection and analysis on project activity performance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills, work ethic, ability to work under pressure, ability to work with people of different cultural backgrounds, and ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external colleagues, including geographically dispersed teams.
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the field of gender, youth and family planning (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered);
Previous experience in BARMM preferred;
Strong previous leadership experience preferred; and
Strong written and spoken English and local languages.
