FACILITIES/PROJECT ENGINEER
 
Job Overview: Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from initiation to completion. This role ensures the projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting technical standards and quality requirements. The Project Engineer acts as a liaison between the engineering team, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
 
Tasked with ensuring that a building or site functions safely, efficiently, and compliantly. Responsibilities typically include planning and executing preventive maintenance, managing equipment and facility upgrades, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and facilitating smooth operations through coordination with stakeholders like contractors and vendors.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in project planning, including scope, schedule, budget, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct site inspections, quality checks, testing, and commissioning, and prepare required reports.
Prepare progress updates, participate in meetings and site walkthroughs, and maintain effective communications.
Compile and archive project documentation, including as-builts, manuals, and punch lists, and support project handovers.
Coordinate and respond to daily job requests and work orders efficiently.
Monitor and maintain building system (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural).
Implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely corrective and emergency repairs.
Maintain maintenance logs, records, and reports for management review.
Supervise and schedule maintenance personnel and contractors.
Ensure compliance with house rules, building codes, safety, emergency, and environmental standards.
Assist in planning and executing facility improvements and renovation projects while minimizing operational disruption.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Knowledge in building systems, including ventilation and air conditioning, pumps, plumbing, power distribution, lighting, and generator operation and maintenance.
Understanding of building codes, fire protection, safety requirements, and basic structural systems and materials.
Experience in space planning and support for remodeling and facility improvements.
Proficiency in preventive and predictive maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and equipment lifecycle management from commissioning to decommissioning.
Familiarity with environmental systems such as waste management, water treatment, and air quality control.
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, including DOLE, DENR, and local government regulations.
Strong understanding of the project lifecycle, technical problem-solving, time, and cost management.
Demonstrates leadership. effective team coordination. attention to detail. adaptability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
1-2 years of experience in project engineering or project management.
Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Projects, Primavera, AutoCAD, Revit).
Strong understanding of industry codes and safety regulations.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
With technical knowledge in building systems (Air-conditioning system, electrical, plumbing).
Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with PCO/Safety Role is an advantage.
