We can't predict what the future holds, but we know Texas Instruments will have a part in shaping it.Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an experienced Facilities Control Engineer to join our team. As a Facilities Engineer at TI, you'll be directly responsible for building utility systems in support of a semiconductor wafer fab. TI Facilities operates over 150 different utility systems that include chemicals, gasses, variety of electrical systems, water systems, HVAC, waste, vacuum, and controls. These systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption, creating a state of the art manufacturing environment. Facilities works closely with TI's manufacturing team to understand how the utility systems impact the process as well as how to reduce consumption.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible to lead and manage mechanical system such as Chiller / compressor / drier / vacuum / Cooling tower / exhaust / motor / pumps.
Manage, maintain, servicing and repair of all Facilities Mechanical Equipment.
Manage, coordinate and supervise business partner to ensure proper and effective implementation of all maintenance activities with zero interruption.
Design / estimate / analyze / test and commissioning of equipment assigned.
Manage / supervise / implement and monitor improvement projects that meets the organization goals and target setting
Review plans and documents, calculate capacity vs demand, plan, manage budget for future development in line with the organization business objectives and strategy.
Work closely with purchasing and other stakeholders covering business contract. Review, draft, improve and implement standard operation procedures (SOP) on the systems
Review, investigate and trouble-shoot incidences and system fault using various methodology like 8D, fish bone diagram, FMEA, etc. to minimize and prevent future incidences and restore the system to its desired operating condition or better.
Coordinate and work closely with other sections and department to align and streamline on operations and project requirement.
Analyze / evaluate and improve the system as necessary.
Troubleshoot and resolve facility escalated issues
Ability to think innovatively and maintain low cost of operation. Implement energy reduction and cost saving project.
Execute area and system 5S to his / her owned facilities system.
Provides technical expertise on various technical standards and engineering requirements.
Works with limited supervision on the assigned tasks.
Learn and understand TI organization, business methods, philosophies, project execution strategies and priorities.
Comply with Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Management systems and maintain company procedures to ensure all duties are executed in a safe manner minimizing harm to individuals, equipment and the environment.
Attend to meetings / conduct bidding / compute / decide and coordinate with supplier.
Generate work permit / energized work permit in the system.
Supervise / conduct audit / walkthrough on projects / field assessment / quality inspection on task being perform.
Perform duties and responsibilities as required by TI.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of BS in Mechanical Engineering
Must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer
Must be willing to work on a shifting schedule
With experience in design and mechanical facilities task in operating and maintaining equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good knowledge in construction / projects / installation works.
Self-motivated, pro-active, analytical, good problem solving and able to thrive in a high-pressure and fast paced oriented environment.
Persistent and has passion for excellence.

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills

Expert knowledge of controls systems and SCADA
Proficient in programming of PLCs and in understanding of communication networks
Experience in application of controls and instrumentation to process systems (process cooling water, hot water, air systems, exhaust, etc.) is desired
Proficient with PC hardware and windows based applications
Ability to analyze existing systems and associated monitoring equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems
Basic understanding of PID loop tuning, ladder/structure programming, charts and trending
Ability to develop and update Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Sequence of Operations, I/O lists, panel drawings and instrumentations lists
