The office in Cebu, Philippines is responsible for medical record processing operations -- RNs, Medical Technologists, Pharmacists and Collections Agents who work with a wide-range of medical records, creating usable databases and beautiful timelines. In addition, the Cebu office is a new tech startup office with its own challenges and opportunities -- the ones we feel are best addressed by a strong, local team.
Job Brief
We are looking for a multi-skilled Facilities and Safety Officer who can balance facilities management with good people skills. You need to be able to attend to multiple concerns involving both employees and their working environment. The goal is to ensure that the work environment is clean and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.
You will be in charge of the overall cleanliness, orderliness, upkeep and safety of the workplace ensuring that furniture and non-IT equipment are in good working condition and safe to use. You will monitor activities in the workplace to eliminate possible hazards to people and property.
You will be responsible for maintaining a work environment that is in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards as specified by the Dept. of Labor. You will develop and implement policies to promote occupational safety and health (OSH).
The ideal candidate is a proactive, safety-oriented individual who has good people skills, is well-organized, has the ability to multitask and possesses a high degree of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Foster a professional and safe but comfortable work environment
Maintain workplace cleanliness, orderliness and safety
Coordinate with vendors for the procurement and delivery of supplies and services
Ensure proper maintenance and repair of furniture, fixtures and non-IT equipment
Liaise with the buildingś Property Management team for electrical, plumbing, air conditioning issues or security concerns
Manage parking space allocation, waste disposal system
Oversee installations, refurbishments and renovations
Manage janitorial and messengerial activities
Ensure compliance to OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) regulatory requirements
Develop and enforce OSH policies (e.g. accident reporting process)
Lead accident investigation procedures
Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
Acts as the Safety Officer as defined by the Dept of Labor and Employment
Requirements
2+ years of experience in facilities management or similar role
Knowledge of OSH guidelines and practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Good analytical/critical thinking
Good people skills
BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) training is an advantage
Must be willing to work onsite
Preferably a resident of Cebu City or nearby cities
