Description
1. Preparation of all fabrication materials needed for the project task.
2. Ensure task to be done in accordance with approved technical drawings and specifications and instructions given by production foreman / production supervisor.
3. Fabricates and assembles structural metal parts/products, such as framework, supports, shells, base set, take-up unit for machineries according to job order verbal instructions and drawings.
4. Develops layout and plans sequence of operations. Applying knowledge of trigonometry stock allowances for thickness and welding machine and physical properties of metal.
5. Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto work piece.
6. Set up and operates fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters and drill dresses.
7. Design and constructs templates and fixtures.
8. Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications, using square, level, ruler, and steel tape.
9. Coordinates with welders, machinist and helpers on performing work to be done.
10. Complete scheduled work on time basis as per production foreman and production supervisor orders.
11. Perform full expertise in specific area of fabrication functions.
12. Works under moderate supervision.
13. Practice good plant and on-site housekeeping.
14. Carry out standard safety practices on plant and project sites.
15. Perform other duties as instructed by production leadman, foreman and supervisor.
