subscribers and 250,000+ total views, we're on a mission to make our YouTube channel one of
the most successful in the business niche.
Our vision for the channel is to create world-class business mini-documentaries and video
essays that are as informative as they are engaging. We delve deep into the fabric of business
stories, uncovering the threads of strategy, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit. Combining
high-quality visual and audio production, our content is not just viewed - it's experienced,
leaving our intellectually curious audience both enlightened and inspired.
About the Job
The ideal candidate will have experience in documentary filmmaking or similar long-form video
content (15-30 min in length), with the ability to turn complex topics into visually compelling
stories. You understand YouTube as a platform and how to optimize for viewer retention. You
have a passion for storytelling, are aesthetically minded and have the ambition to create the
best YouTube videos possible. Here are examples of the type of content you will be expected to
create:
Mini-Documentaries: Engaging, in-depth explorations of business topics and key people,
presented in a documentary format that weaves together interviews, archival footage,
and commentary.
Animated Explanations: Utilization of motion graphics and animations to break down
complex business concepts and data into clear, understandable visuals.
Investigative Reports: Video segments that take a deep dive into current events in the
business world, requiring a blend of visual storytelling and journalistic integrity.
Case Studies: Detailed analyses of particular companies, industries, business people
and trends requiring a narrative that connects the dots visually.
Thought Leadership Pieces: Video essays that convey insights from industry experts,
requiring a sophisticated touch to match the intellectual depth of the content.

Responsibilities
Edit and produce up to 4 mini-documentaries and video essays per month, ensuring
content is engaging, informative, and aligned with our channel's narrative style and
quality standards.
Source and integrate complementary B-roll, archival footage, and other visual elements
to enrich storytelling and viewer engagement.
Collaborate with content creators to conceptualize, storyboard, and execute video
projects from inception to completion, incorporating interviews, archival footage and
animations.
Create dynamic motion graphics and animations to illustrate complex business
concepts, enhancing the educational value and visual appeal of our content.
Manage and execute the post-production workflow, including editing, color grading,
sound design, and final rendering, to deliver polished and professional videos.
Continuously optimize content for YouTube, leveraging analytics to improve viewer
retention and satisfaction.
Lead the charge in creative brainstorming sessions, staying updated on industry trends
and innovations, and proactively suggesting new content ideas and formats.
Design intriguing YouTube thumbnails that capture the essence of each video and are
optimized for click-through rates, ensuring consistency with our channel's branding and
aesthetic
Requirements
Qualifications
● 5+ years of experience in video editing with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
● Experience with mini-documentary filmmaking or similar long-form content (15-30 min in
length)
● Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, motion graphics, animations, VFX,
sound design and color grading
● Strong storytelling skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a visual format.
● Strong research skills with the ability to find complementary b-roll and footage from
various online sources.
● A sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of the visual and technical aspects of
video production
● Familiarity with the YouTube platform and how to optimize videos for viewer retention.
● Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage
multiple video projects simultaneously.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
● Ability to work independently with little oversight and direction.
● Self-motivated and goal oriented.
● Prior experience creating high-quality YouTube thumbnails that are optimized for click-through rates and viewer retention, is a plus.
● Prior experience or strong interest in business and finance content, is a plus.
