EXPEDITER
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Restaurant Expediter to join our team. The Expediter plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth dining experience by managing the flow of orders between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff. This role is responsible for coordinating food orders, checking the quality and presentation of dishes, and ensuring they are delivered promptly to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the link between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
Confirm food orders before delivering them to guests, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and adherence to restaurant standards.
Keep track of multiple orders, making sure they are prepared in the correct sequence and delivered without delay.
Communicate effectively with chefs, line cooks, and servers to maintain smooth operations during peak service times.
Ensure special requests and dietary restrictions are followed correctly by checking dishes before they leave the kitchen.
Assist in resolving any issues related to orders, including incorrect items or delays.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the expediting station.
Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure the guests' dining experience meets or exceeds expectations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a restaurant expediter, line cook, or in food service is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in the presentation and quality of food.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
