Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
The Sales & Marketing Director will lead and oversee all sales and marketing activities within the organization. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, managing the sales and marketing teams, and driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, revenue growth, and sales targets. With expertise in sales, marketing, market research, brand management, campaign execution, and digital marketing will be instrumental in achieving the company's sales and marketing goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to support the company's overall business objectives.
. Conduct market research to identify target audiences, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
. Set sales goals, KPIs, and budgets, and track progress towards achieving them.
. Continuously monitor and evaluate sales initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
. Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts for optimal results.
2. Marketing Strategy and Planning:
. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to support the company's overall business objectives.
. Conduct market research to identify target audiences, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
. Define brand positioning and messaging to effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders.
. Set marketing goals, KPIs, and budgets, and track progress towards achieving them.
. Continuously monitor and evaluate marketing initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
3. Team Leadership and Management:
. Recruit, train, and manage skilled sales and marketing teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
. Delegate tasks, set clear objectives, and provide guidance and support to team members.
. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
. Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as product development and customer service.
4. Brand Management:
. Develop and maintain a strong brand identity and ensure consistent brand messaging across all sales and marketing channels and materials.
. Monitor market trends and consumer insights to evolve and enhance the brand strategy.
. Manage brand guidelines, including visual elements, tone of voice, and brand positioning.
. Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, advertising, and promotional activities to build brand awareness and customer loyalty.
5. Sales Execution and Business Development:
. Drive the sales team to achieve revenue targets and sales objectives.
. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners.
. Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments for expansion.
. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral and tools.
6. Digital Marketing and Online Presence:
. Develop and implement digital marketing strategies, including social media, content marketing, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and online advertising.
. Optimize the company's online presence, including the website, landing pages, and social media channels.
. Monitor website analytics, campaign performance, and user behavior to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI.
. Stay abreast of digital marketing trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
7. Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
. Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
. Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns to identify opportunities and adjust sales and marketing tactics accordingly.
. Leverage market insights to develop product positioning, pricing strategies, and target market segmentation.
Skills & Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
. Proven experience as a Sales and Marketing Director or in similar sales and marketing leadership roles.
. Experienced working for Health & Safety, SaaS business, manufacturing and/or cleaning companies are preferred.
. Solid understanding of sales and marketing principles, market research, and consumer behavior.
. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing sales and marketing teams.
. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Someone who is very lively and energetic.
. In-depth knowledge of digital marketing techniques, tools, and platforms.
. Proficiency in using sales and marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools is a must
. Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies.
. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
. Creative and innovative thinking to develop impactful sales and marketing campaigns.
. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
