About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Estimator for an interior design construction company in Australia. This role will report to the Assistant Sales Manager.
You will be required to do:
Provide a quality support service to Sales in the processing of customer quotations accurately and within time frames required;
Evaluate Request for Quotes by using Lead Assessment Machine [when not already done];
Confirm with Sales specific product options and details for accurate statement of requirements before quoting;
Follow the quote priority schedule;
Get prices from suppliers for custom products;
Calculate project costs accurately in accordance with quotation procedures;
Provide re-quoting options where details, specifications or quoting strategy changes;
Review customer requirements and identify cost saving options that still meet the design intent;
Prepare formal quote documentation for Inside Sales;
Undertake take-offs or assessment of new drawing and amend quote calculator for review by Sales Manager and Inside Sales;
Enter new costs into the Cost Calculator and Supplier Database;
Enter new or updated supplier information into the Supplier Database.
Requirements
Do you have what we are looking for:
Knowledge of joinery or panelling industry;
Good at maths and numeracy skills;
Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
Careful and thorough in work habits;
Works well under pressure;
Ability to follow set procedures;
Ability to read requirements of architectural drawings or plans;
Ability to learn new methods and software and quickly gain proficiency;
Ability to visual processes and materials that make up a product;
Ability to visualise products that would be supplied for a specific application;
Minimum three years joinery or estimating experience;
Outstanding at Excel;
Proficient in Outlook and Word;
Proficient in CRM use;
Relevant tertiary qualifications an advantage;
