Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review construction documents such as plans and specifications to understand project requirements
• Prepare accurate and thorough takeoffs based on project requirements
• Organize and format takeoff data
• Send and present takeoff to the team and revise for any changes
• Assist in presenting details on Word document including but not limited to the list of inclusions and exclusions for submission
• Provide follow up takeoff or research as needed to support bid or management process
• Manage and update software and Takeoff spreadsheet
• Prepare and generate takeoff reports for the Estimator
• Provide general administrative support to the team
• Coordinate with vendors to gather quotes when needed
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related
• Architectural Design/Engineering Background with at least 2 to 3 years of experience
• Construction Background and Subcontractor Background in Aluminum, Cladding or similar
• Background in Estimating, Take Off, Quantity Surveying or similar experience
• Understanding of building methodology and building requirements
• Proficient in MS Excel and Take Off software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit or similar
• Easy going and ability to communicate well
• High attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to new tools and software
