Roles and Responsibilities
- Effectively communicates with reprographics for plan distribution (includes upload to
Bidmail)
- Subcontractor solicitation including reaching out to BlueBook for lump sum bidding, auto
replies and rerouting for bidding
- Follow up solicitation via email and telephone
- Subcontractor reports license report to check status and license types
- Prepare bid documents
- Review and identify performance and payment bonding requirements in the bid documents
- Forwards proper information to the bonding agent for proper cost and risk management
- Review and identify Builders Risk, Owner Controlled Insurance Programs,
- Forward proper information to the insurance agent for proper cost and risk management
- Maintain estimating calendar
- Solicit and obtain material pricing
- Update and maintain subcontractor database (Bidmail)
- Regular updates to pre qualification information
Required Experience
- Relevant work experience or background
- -Experience working in a construction industry
A Successful Candidate must have
- Understanding of construction terminology, trades, and project types
- Basic understanding of plans and specifications
- Basic understanding of trade CSI codes
- Basics understanding of Owner Contracts
- Ability to electronically organize and maintain files
- Ability to work efficiently, allocate one's own time efficiently; handle multiple demands, and
competing priorities
- Fluency writing, reading, and speaking in English
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact productively with the team
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Willing to work on a fixed night shift
