Position at EssenceMediaCom
In this role, the chosen applicant will take the lead in developing the media and communications strategies for various brands. They will implement EssenceMediacom's communications planning process and will apply EssenceMediacom's proprietary tools, systems and research data in effectively addressesing the brand objectives and requirements.
They will work together with the Communications Planner/s to deliver the clients requirements, as well as other corporate or agency deliverables.

Measures of Success:
In 3 to 6 months, you should have established a clear understanding of the client's business and deliver the specific agency deliverables for the accounts assigned to you.
What your day job looks like at EssenceMediacom:
A Planning Director will be in charge of a specific account and performs the following tasks:
Manage and respond to client requests, appropriately delegating tasks to individual team members as needed.
Guide team members to develop strategic thinking and media planning skills
Work closely with the specialist teams to ensure you are up to date with the latest media partners offerings
Work closely with media partners on responses to briefs or to provide opportunities for the account
Provide insights and recommendations on the client's category/competitive activity as well as the changing media landscape
Attend meetings as needed - internal, client and cross-agency
Attend conferences/seminars to keep up to date with trends, insights and client's business categories.
Use the available network resources, either through the strategy team or business science to address client's communications objectives or measurement needs.
Take part in new business pitches and provide insightful and comprehensive communication solutions for the agency and its clients
Deliver internal corporate requirements such as spend reports, team development plans, and encourage client adoption of proprietary tools and services

Education
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Communication Research, etc.
Work Experience:
At least 10 years work experience with at least 1 year managing 1-2 junior staff in a media agency or marketing/advertising/research-related field
