Job Description
Supports the finance functional workstream for the ERP project.
Interacts with the development team and users to determine project requirements.
Assesses, challenges, and documents business requirements
Understands core financial processes (e.g. accounting entries, financial reporting, month end close, etc.) and the impact of transactional changes on downstream processes as the system is designed.
Analyzes, provides alternatives and recommends solution to the area of finance and accounting business processes
Contributes to all finance process and system requirements, design and review sessions and detailed business scenarios to help define and test the solution.
Performs optimization of system capabilities to improve efficiency/performance
Identifies and applies continuous improvement processes for operational efficiencies, drive process integration and standardization
Conducts analysis sessions during implementation of ERP business solutions
Participates in business acceptance testing of the solution for the finance function.
Demonstrates collaborative skills with finance team, project teams and other function groups
Completes special projects and ad-hoc reporting as assigned
Job Qualification
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent financial degree (Certified Public Accountant preferred)
2+ years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience is required
Strong knowledge and experience in accounting concepts and financial processes
Functional knowledge of ERP applications like SAP, Oracle and similar applications
Attention to detail, a drive for accuracy and a strong work ethic
Demonstrated continuous improvement focus
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
Flexibility to handle changing requirements and multiple projects
Willingness to take on new challenges and achieve results with urgency
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to apply complex analytical and critical thinking skills
Self-motivated and able to effectively prioritize responsibilities
