About the role
The Automation Engineer is responsible in driving the equipment development primarily to minimize the quality risks due to manual handling, drive the productivity and cost improvement. This position is required to execute the locally identified projects and those global automation initiatives. Examples are Integrated 2X ETP, Strip AOIs, and auto transfers.
What you will do
Assess the ATCB processes to identify all opportunities for Automations which would resolve quality issues, generate savings, increase the capacity, safety and other breakthrough ideas.
Prepare design concept, then discuss with suppliers and other members. Generate and justify Business Case for the projects.
Prepare purchase specifications for new machines and tooling.
Conduct machine and tooling buy-off at supplier's site. Lead the "Release to Production" (RTP) of new machines and tooling, including all pertinent documents required by the Change Board.
Collect, Interpret, and Analyze all machine performance data.
Conduct internal and external engineering bench marking. Keep updated for new available technology in the market. Work with Back End Engineering and other Global Team when necessary.
Support the operations and process engineering team in major machine and/or quality issues when needed.
Conduct technical trainings for DL and IDL.
Meet all defined Key Performance Indices.
Execute good project management.
What you will need
BS Engineering Graduate (ME, ECE, EE or equivalent)
Min 10 Years Experiences in Machine Automation with Semiconductor applications
Skilled in machine design, AutoCAD and Electropneumatic.
Knowledgeable in Machining Process and Basic PLC.
Knowledgeable of structured problem-solving approach and Tools (PDCA, 8D, DMAIC, QC Tools, FMEA and the like).
Experienced in project management and working with suppliers.
Good in technical report writing and presentation.
Good command in English, Professional verbal and written communication with internal partners and suppliers
Self-motivated working style, reliable and timely reporting and delivery of KPI's
Systematic and Assertive work style, must be able to get agreement and support using facts and relevant data
