Job Description
Comply with approved standards of nursing practices
Assist the Staff Nurse to supervise care staff and healthcare attendants
Work with Staff Nurse to uphold good outcomes through quality care
Assist the Staff Nurse in assessment of new admission of residents
Provide basic nursing care to the residents
Supervise care staff to ensure comfort and good personal hygiene of the resident under her/his care, e.g. bed bath/shower bath, changing of clothes and bed sheets and tidiness of the room
Supervise care staff to check, monitor and record residents' vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and apex heart beats
Guide care staff to assist in the transfer and positioning of non-ambulant residents
Supervise care staff to assist in serving diets and feeding residents who are unable to feed themselves
Coordinate visits for medical check-ups, arranging transport and accompanying residents to the hospital/polyclinic for follow up appointments
Work with the Staff Nurse to maintain a safe and clean environment in the nursing home
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
