Major Duties and Responsibilities
MANPOWER MODEL:
Establishes manning model using MOST to maximize labor utilization.
Support the production headcount and the activities of productivity improvement.
SETTING STANDARDS & SYSTEMS:
Responsible for standards settings, methods improvements, and systems/reports improvements to ensure that value added work is performed in the most efficient manner possible.
SPACE & LAYOUT PLANNING:
Responsible for maintaining the existing factory layout, insuring all regulatory and safety standards are in place. Establish future space/layout plans for factory growth and maintain schedules necessary to meet factory ramp needs.
Liaise with facility and EHS department to ensure compliance to safety regulations in factory layout design.
CAPACITY PLANNING:
Ensure the equipment capacity is accurate and ready to support weekly and long-term range demand forecast.
Develop equipment capacity model for new product and maintain equipment capacity model for existing lines.
COST MODELING:
Estimates project costs and schedules and participate in preparation of proposals and presentations.
Leads cross-functional studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control through the application of Lean principles.

Qualifications
Education
B.S. in Industrial Engineering Degree
Skills
Knowledge of basic computer applications like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project Management, Auto-CAD, Simulation, Visual Basic Applications, etc.
Knowledge of quality improvement and team tools like Gantt chart, Pareto, fishbone diagram, control chart, brainstorming, etc.
Knowledge in MOST, Time and Motion Study, MTM, Systems & Methods Improvements, Simulation, Cost Analysis, Standards Setting, Ergonomics, TPM, Value Engg, Value Analysis, ESD, SPC, Kaizen, Kanban, JIT, and other IE-related techniques & tools.
Problem solving, decision making and human interaction skills, succession planning skills, analytical, team & customer-oriented, proactive
Strong oral and written English skills.
