ENGINEERING PLANNER
 
Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepare project plans, schedules, and timelines, including Gantt charts and implementation plans.
2. Identify project requirements, including manpower, materials, equipment, and other necessary resources.
3. Assist the Department Manager in prioritizing engineering projects based on operational needs and resource availability.
4. Assist in preparing project proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation for project approval.
5. Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), material specifications, and other project documentation.
6. Support the Department Manager in preparing project presentations and supporting documents for management review.
7. Assist in preparing engineering drawings or layout concepts for plant improvements, and coordinate with the Draftsman to complete drawings based on project requirements.
8. Monitor project progress, schedule adherence, and budget utilization to ensure projects are implemented according to the approved plan.
9. Identify project delays, deviations, or risks and report them to the Department Manager.
10. Assist in evaluating contractor performance and work progress during project implementation.
11. Maintain a project tracking system to monitor schedules, progress, and project documentation.
12. Coordinate with Supervisors, Engineers, Technicians, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure resources are available for project implementation.
13. Communicate project plans, schedules, and progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
14. Provide technical and logistical support to facilitate smooth project execution
Job Specifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Fresh graduate, newly licensed, or with 2-3 years of experience in engineering planning, designing, or related fields.
Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
Skills
Proficient in basic computer software, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and powerpoints.
Strong planning and time management skills- ability to handle more than one project at a time
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in mechanical engineering design using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, and Solid Edge or similar.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
Attention to detail.
Excellent mathematical skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficient in using mechanical hand tools
Analytical skills to evaluate and improve system performance and design.
