Fluor is looking for an Engineering Manager!
With the continuous growth of the organization, Fluor is always looking for candidates that are interested in a career as Engineering Manager.
In the role of Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the overall engineering activities on the project you are assigned to. Being the focal point for discipline lead engineers, you have to oversee all aspects of executing projects in a challenging environment with tight schedules and complex deliverables. This task requires a strong drive for results and a keen eye for profitability. The potential for helicopter view and strategic insight are a prerequisite, as well as the willingness to constantly learn and develop yourself.
In addition to leading the engineering team you are the focal point for all non-technical disciplines such as Procurement, Contracting, Project Controls and Construction and act as representative of Fluor towards the client in all technical matters. Projects initially will have a typical size of around 200 to 300 million and can be located anywhere on the globe.

You have experience in the Advanced Technologies and Life Sciences industry especially pharmaceuticals over the last 10 - 15 years of your career. You gained your experience within an engineering discipline like Mechanical, Process, Civil Structural, Electrical & Control Systems or Piping and are currently working in a leadership role as a engineering manager (or similar) and looking for the next step in your career. You have been exposed to project management functions and are familiar with project management techniques and terminology.

Basic Job Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a engineering
management role in the Advance Technologies & Life
Sciences industry especially pharmaceuticals
- Technical education on Bachelor or University level
(Mechanical, Electrical, Control System, Civil or Process)
- Proficiency in English, additional German is a preference
- Proven leadership track record
- Excellent communication skills and strong Client focus
- Experience in project controls and change management
- Strong safety focus
- Site/Construction experience is a strong differentiator
- Mobility is required
Preferred Qualifications
. Professional registration and active participation in technical society
. Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
. Advanced knowledge of equipment through all stages of a project from conceptual phase to design development, construction, and commissioning
. Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
. Managing and leading a large project
. Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out
. Practical field experience
. Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
