This role will provide strong and consistent ownership of Manufacturing Engineering activities for the Power Quality Division Plant in Tanauan City, Philippines. This will include process/productivity improvements, implementation of lean principles including TPM and Error-proofing or automatic machines or lines plus Drawing & Data management.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
Provides strong and consistent ownership of Manufacturing Engineering activities for the Power Quality Division Plant in Tanauan City, Philippines
Lead process/productivity improvements, implementation of lean principles including TPM and Error-proofing or automatic machines or lines plus Drawing & Data management
Provides manufacturing analysis as required for project evaluation and development
Manage Manufacturing Engineering organization Tanauan City site
Deploys best practice tools and techniques to the optimization of manufacturing output efficiency, process capability, FTQ, and human resource needs
Set a world-class standard about the manufacturing engineers work and lead & coach the team to get it to happen via effective performance management and people development
Provides planning and direction for all technical activities while achieving optimum productivity of equipment, materials, facilities and appropriate operating systems
Consults and reviews with the Leadership Team project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects
Initiates and implements cost reduction proposals, compiling appropriate information, making recommendations for action, checking results obtained
Responsible for the implementation and execution of lean principles within the manufacturing environment
Reviews manufacturing strategies which leverage both internal and outsourced manufacturing processes
Reviews capital spending plans in line with the PQ global manufacturing strategy
Drives TPM & OEE implementation to minimize the downtime and maximize the output
Maximizes product cost performance through use of six sigma tools, lean, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, MVP, 6S to help achieve continuous improvement and drive none value added cost out of the business
Maintains a harmonious and productive environment whilst driving through necessary changes
Strategizes the business to increase productivity, improve quality and reduce manufacturing costs
Qualifications
If You Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required
Minimum of 8 years experience leading an engineering team, broad end-to-end manufacturing engineering function
Track record of demonstrable people management skills
Excellent locally and globally communication skills required
International / global experience and exposure with good cultural awareness required
Excellent knowledge of PC and keyboard skills
Demonstrated use of six sigma skills
Excellent analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills
