Job Description:
We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with an advance background in Program Development and Automation Testing .
Software QA's responsibilities are to test and review the program developed by ESS Developers focus on Blackbox and Whitebox testing.
Job Description:
Software QA for the Test Systems Group (TSG). The candidate will work closely with ESS Development team, Product Owner/Business Analyst and SME's. The candidate will participate in quality assurance processes, design test scenarios and Testing. The candidate will also be involved in documentation work needed as part of providing business support during the in the entire system development life cycle process to ensure product quality. The candidate will work in our office in Alabang and will report directly to the ESS Development team.
Job Responsibilities:
Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
Review software design and documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
Install, maintain, or use software testing programs.
Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.
Identify program deviance from standards and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.
Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
Design or develop automated testing tools.
Conduct historical analyses of test results.
Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.
Evaluate or recommend software for testing or bug tracking.
Collaborate with Users, Business Analyst, SME's or Developers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
Managing the final quality on production release.
Follow the Microchip Information Systems policies and procedures on development, project management, and change control.
Requirements/Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
Excellent designing and programming skills.
Minimum of 3-5 year(s) of working experience in .NET Development: C#, ASP.NET MVC, Visual Studio 2019 or higher, and relational databases (MSSQL, Oracle)
Must have knowledge of Automation Testing using Selenium and Robot Framework.
Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance Methodologies such as Test Planning, Automated Testing, Functional Testing, Non-Functional Testing Component Testing, Unit Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, UAT processes, Post-Release Verification Testing, Test Scenario Matrix, Test Status Reports, Defect reporting and management, Visual studio Team Suite, Microsoft Team Foundation System, JIRA, Collaboration Tools(JIRA, GitHub, Confluence ), SVN, Basic SQL and relational databases, Familiar with Agile Methodology (Scrum).
Knowledge with Software Design Pattern or Architectural Pattern is an advantage.
Experience with jQuery along with Ajax, CSS, HTML, Bootstrap
Knowledge in Telerik Kendo UI for jQuery is a plus
Exposure to Behavior Driven Development and experience in programming and testing.
The ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.
