Job Description Summary: Job Description: Process Engineer, I work with multifunctional teams to identify gaps in the current process resulting in any package/wafer defects and breakdowns. He is also responsible to map the possible root cause to define the appropriate containment and permanent corrective actions on package issues, misprocessing of lots, and other process-related cases. Familiar with semiconductor manufacturing or assembly environment. With basic knowledge in FMEA, DOE, 8D, SPC, JMP, Control Plan, OCAP and other problem solving and risk management tools. Being familiar with Lean Manufacturing, TPMs and Six Sigma is an advantage. Conducts tester/handler process buy-off and new package type materials based on an existing process buyoff requirement. Verifies non-electrical hold lot issues and internal customer complaints and provides disposition and containment actions to affected lots with basis on specs or any written approved documents. Performs test process and procedural audits to verify proper execution of procedures and to achieve feedbacks for the continuous improvement of the process. Verifies implementation and effectiveness of existing OCAP and updates as needed. Collaborates with the different departments to standardize procedures, execution or implementation, and understanding of procedures and improvements to areas where applicable. Communicate with other departments and/or other sites in search of best practices. Coaches and mentors coordinators or process technicians on process engineering activities and conducts line briefing or orientation to the production line for the implementation of new processes or changes in procedures. Reviews and revises test processes, buyoff procedures, and work instructions. Carries out preventive measures that will bring down process-related setup down handles and resolves process-related setup down within reasonable time to support equipment utilization, cycle time goal, and product delivery. Prepares relevant reports, flow diagrams, and charts. Simplifies and unifies existing specs and removes non-value-added activities. Assessing the availability of raw materials and the safety and environmental impact in the Final Test floor.
