In this position, the individual will assume leadership in all process-related activities of HOC process under manufacturing Engineering. He/She will help to harmonize strategy and execution, control and improve process efficiency. The individual will be the driving force to coordinate, track and resolve Process HOC activities.
The individual will also be expected to have an exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate will all levels of the organization across sites.
The ideal candidate will have a B.S. Degree in Engineering (ECE, MS, COE) or related field. The individual must have proven to have an in-depth knowledge in magnetic recording principle, slider fabrication and testing methodology. People management skills and experience in cross-functional collaboration is preferred but not required. Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people especially in manufacturing industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• In depth knowledge to characterize device performance and prepare characterization report.
• Analyze basic data, perform root cause analysis, and define solutions.
• Recommend improvements to HOC process control, Cost and Capacity
• Characterization in Process FA and Control implementation
• Process Monitoring through SPC technic
• Drive process Yield Improvement
• Ensure overall process compliance to requirement goals of WDC.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ECE, MS or Chem) or related field.
• At least 5 years experiences in HDD industry or semiconductor
• Has in-depth knowledge in Carbon deposition and Vacuum process understanding
• Level of proficiency with statistical data analysis tools and data mining techniques.
• Good proficiency and communication skills in English.
PREFERRED:
• Master's degree in any engineering field preferred but not required.
• Programming skills C++, SAS, Python and R languages preferred but not required
SKILLS:
• Proficient in JMP software analysis and statistical tool.
• Proficient in Windows office software including MS project tool.
• Certification in Six sigma training is an advantage but not a must.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written English skills required to conduct daily activities.
