Electrical Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- Technical/Vocational school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in electrical technology preferred.
- Valid electrician license in good standing or equivalent.
- 2-3+ years of experience working as an electrical technician.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all necessary equipment.
- Able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient with electrical manual and electrical power tools.
- Familiar with code requirements and company safety regulations.
- Experienced in cable pulling such as power cables, UTP cables, video cables such as RG-11 and RG-6, etc., structured cabling.
- Knowledgeable in installations of PVC trunks, rigid and EMT conduits, cable trays and ladders, fiber optics cable ducts, steel rods and channel bars, risers and pull-box.
- Installations of system devices, electronics equipment's such as switches, UPS, etc. including network cabinets and patch panels.
- Termination of power, video, and control cables.
- Familiar with panel enclosures/terminal boxes.
- Able to read diagrams and plans.
