Job Purpose and Scope
To perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with aviation standards. The Electrical Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency and reliability of airport facilities.
Scope
The IFM Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems. This role involves conducting regular inspections, performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
 
Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical systems.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Corrective Maintenance:
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues promptly.
Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on electrical systems to resolve issues and restore functionality.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, aviation standards, and industry best practices.
Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance performance and activities.
Energy Management:
Implement energy-efficient solutions and practices to support the airport's sustainability goals.
Monitor and optimize energy usage in electrical systems.
Vendor Coordination:
Liaise with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair tasks.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
Daily Monitoring:
Operate and monitor electrical systems daily to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Record and analyze operating parameters, including voltage, current, and power usage, to identify and address potential issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving maintenance practices and implement best practices.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with the facilities management team, vendors, and contractors to ensure effective coordination of maintenance activities.
Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
 
Experience (No. of Years)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or facilities management, preferably in an airport, Premium Hotel, Commercial complex, or Manufacturing facility.
Proven experience in maintaining and repairing electrical systems, including power distribution and lighting.
 
Education / Training
Technical diploma in Electrical or equivalent.
Additional certification or training in electrical maintenance or a related field is preferred.
