RA 11285 or Philippine Energy Efficiency Law requires a Certified Energy Conservation officer (CECO) who will work full-time on energy management compliance and reportorial requirements to DOLE. The manning requirement for RA 7920 and RA 11285 are distinct and separate from each other. The scope of work for the position according to the law will require a dedicated person to be able to comply to the reportorial requirements
Penalties for non-compliance shall mean a fine ranging from Php10,000 up to max of Php 1,000,000 without prejudice to other penalties provided for by existing regulations prescribed by other government agencies. Provided further, this is is without prejudice to criminal liability as stated in this act.
