Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world. The Electrical Engineer will be supporting the Global Technical Service Center (GTSC) in providing services to supplement in-house capabilities of the company. The Electrical Engineer will be part of a team that will support base engineering requirements, requirements assessment, planning, and project closeout. This is a part-time, on-call position based in our Subic, Zambales office. The hourly pay range for this position, based on the market data, is Php250 to 350 (range varies depending on experience and qualifications). Key Responsibilities Coordinates with engineers in accomplishing projects such as: earthwork; airfield and roadway pavement systems; high and low voltage electrical systems; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC including controls); water and sewage (plumbing); fire suppression; and alarm systems. Assists in the preparation of Architect and Engineer (A&E) Statements of Work (SOWs) for Government review and approval. May be asked to do engineering investigative services which include electrical power studies, water and wastewater flow and system testing and analysis, and HVAC testing, among others. Assists site leads in monitoring and/or management of new projects for construction, renovations and improvements to real property facilities and infrastructure. Performs detailed pre-construction site surveys in conjunction with the government site leads and various crafts. Part of the team that handles technical evaluation of construction bids; and, prepares or reviews as-built drawings at the end of construction. Handles the electronic maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of a variety of infrastructure facilities and utilities. Ensures that work is within federal and local codes concerning health, safety and environment of real property facilities. Ensures timely and accurate preparation and disposition of Government's project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) documentation. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications To Be Successful In The Role Must possess a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer. Must have a minimum of 7 years in design and field experience. Capable of investigative services including electric power distribution networks, power load determination, exterior electric, interior electric, fire alarm systems, and site lighting. With experience in power system analysis software. Knowledgeable in creating and modifying Architect & Engineer Statements of Work. Knowledgeable in MS Office, project tracking programs (Microsoft Project), computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) programs (AutoCAD 3D), GIS, HVAC load calculation software, truss analysis software, Finite Element Structural Analysis software, cost estimating software, and other engineering calculation software packages. Must be able to operate and troubleshoot large format plotters. Familiarization with federal and local codes concerning health, safety and environment of real property facilities. Attention to detail is a must. Ability to interact with all levels of management. Must be committed to devoting sufficient time to this contract and associated task orders.
