MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician has the overall responsibility to provide technical expertise in the Repairs and Maintenance of electrical, projects, instrumentation and controls facilities conforming safety and quality.
JOB SUMMARY
Provide Electrical Specialists support for Repairs and Maintenance of electrical systems such as: Building/industrial wiring, Distribution panels and Motor Control Centers, Power generation and distribution equipment, Electromechanical/PLC controls and Lighting
Install, operate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain control systems/equipment (simple to medium complexity).
Provides assistance to the Electrical-Instrumentation Executive/Manager and/or Specialists in handling contractors on medium scale Repair and Maintenance and Projects. He is also expected to prepare simple work instructions, perform site inspections, monitor activities and check quality of workmanship at site.
Assists the Electrical-Instrumentation Executive/Manager and/or Specialists in performing audits and execution of corrective action to ensure compliance of Electrical Installations with Safety requirements of Unilever SHE-PAR and related standards, concerned Local and National Codes/Laws, and other recognized organizations.
Prepare work orders and purchase requisitions.
Prepare or organize documentation requirements for Repairs and Maintenance.
Perform detailed safety audits and recommend corrective actions on electrical equipment and/or installations (to ensure safety and compliance with Local & National codes/laws governing Electrical Engineering, Unilever Standards, and other relevant standards).
Designated to operate and maintain medium voltage equipment.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Technical Course or 4 year Engineering Course
Experience in FMCG or manufacturing industry, preferred
Excellent knowledge of Unilever and SHE Standards
Good knowledge of Manufacturing and Process Safety
Very good analytical skills
Excellent work attitude and can work in shifting schedule
Good working knowledge of applicable mechanical/electrical codes, standards, and regulations
