The EHS Officer / Company Nurse is responsible for creating, enacting and updating job safety programs for employees that encompass government health and safety regulations as well as company standards for safety in the
workplace. One monitors and assesses hazardous and unsafe areas for potential accidents, and trains employees on the importance of health and safety on the job.
In addition, he/she is also responsible to ensure safety of all employees and protect company's property, facility and equipment from damages, oversee security functions including its: truckers, clients, and other assets, wherever they maybe; and ensure disposal of wastes from the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in any related field
Must have at least 1 year working experience in related field
Must have at least 1 year working experience in producing reports
Preferably with BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health), LCM (Loss Control Management), OHNAP Training
Organizational Skills
Possession of good time management and planning skills
Knows how to standard operating procedures (SOP) related to to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials and practices
Keen to information and details in monitoring the performance of the department
Full understanding of EHS functions and best practices
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Do roving and inspection around the facility from time to time
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
Others:
Knows how to drive (with restriction code 1,2)
May travel as needed.
