Job Description
Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) is a global semiconductor leader that bridges the physical and digital worlds to enable breakthroughs at the Intelligent Edge. ADI combines analog, digital, and software technologies into solutions that help drive advancements in digitized factories, mobility, and digital healthcare, combat climate change, and reliably connect humans and the world. With revenue of more than $12 billion in FY22 and approximately 25,000 people globally working alongside 125,000 global customers, ADI ensures today's innovators stay Ahead of What's Possible.
Engineers at Analog Devices (ADI) solve some of the world's most complex engineering problems. To be able to do so with ease, they need access to the best IC design infrastructure available. We, the Engineering Enablement (EE) team at ADI, aim to do just that, by building the infrastructure and support required by ADI's design community. We come from diverse technical backgrounds and strive to provide the best user experience to design teams, utilizing a full range of computer-aided design tools and workflows.
The Analog Devices EE Frontline Support team is the first responder to issues faced by the design community. This dynamic team is seeking a highly motivated EDA engineer to work in a team-oriented environment, to provide user support for advanced design tools, flows and methodologies for complex analog/mixed-signal and digital IC product development. While it offers exposure to a variety of user support coverage areas, for this role we are looking for candidates who will also put a particular focus on learning and supporting our data management system.
This candidate should have a strong EDA background with IC design tools & flows, such as those for digital design verification, digital design, or digital implementation. Importantly, this candidate should have some familiarity with data management concepts and a system such as GIT or Perforce Helix Core. A primary focus for this role will be learning the intricacies of our implementation of our Methodics IPLM data management system and building on this knowledge through experience resolving real-world problems. Familiarity with the Cadence Virtuoso design platform is also a plus, as Methodics IPLM integrates with it.
This role requires a candidate who is a good team player and can carry out tasks independently in a multi-disciplinary team environment. It will also be necessary to have the ability to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
Fulfilling user support requests on the Perforce and Methodics tools, in addition to internal utilities and workflows
Providing user support for other aspects of the design infrastructure besides that for data management
Troubleshooting project data access/permission issues and providing explanations/solutions
Verifying bug reports, developing test cases, filing internal bug reports and tracking vendor progress
Troubleshooting performance complaints and working with IT to identify and resolve them
Supporting licensing issue requests
Creating FAQ pages to capture knowledge of specific solutions
When applicable, showing users how they can resolve issues independently
Required Qualifications and Experience:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent or related field preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years hands-on experience working with GIT or Perforce Helix Core tool suite and Methodics IPLM tools
Experience with any shell scripting language (e.g. Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.)
Experience with Linux, permissions, and ACL's
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Experience with DV methodologies and tools including metric-driven verification, UVM and Verification IP a plus
Experience with the Cadence Virtuoso design platform a plus
Job Req Type: Experienced
Required Travel: Yes, 25% of the time
Shift Type: Normal Time (Philippines)
