Job Summary:
The e-commerce business analyst is responsible for working over the entire project development life-cycle which generally starts from the elicitation of business requirements to the testing and go-live of the system. The main objective of an e-commerce business analyst is to deliver the functional design specifications to meet the specified business objectives of the project. He or she is also responsible for coordinating the entire staff indulged in handling the project by preparing and leading the coordination meetings. The business analyst specifies various strategies for completing the project and also identifies the data flow.
The e-commerce business generally also assists the project manager in following up and prioritizing the development. They also carry out processes to validate the functionalities developed with the various participants. Preparing and maintaining documents, procedures, user guides, and business processes is another important job responsibility of an e-commerce business analyst. Designing and documenting user manuals is also undertaken by the business analyst. He or she may also undertake various training sessions to train future trainers as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead continuous improvement and expansion of E-Commerce
platform
• Consult internal and external customers to identify business needs
• Define technical requirements for fixes and feature enhancements
• Communicate functional requirements and user stories for development teams
• Work closely with UX Designer to create a best in class user experience
• Identify opportunities for process improvements
• Monitors day-to-day E-Commerce platform operations
• Ensure thorough Quality Assurance testing procedures are followed
• Act as a primary point of contact for scheduled production releases within the project duration
• Monitor and troubleshoot E-Commerce functionality issues
• Process-driven analysis skills and background in various requirement discovery methods
• Have strong facilitation skills to elicit requirements from various personalities across organization
boundaries including senior executives
• Proven experience in driving consensus across multiple stakeholders
• Should understand technical jargon and possess the ability to communicate it in layman's terms
• Have an ability to analyze and document complex business processes
• Should experience writing and executing test plans
Qualifications:
• University Graduate in IT or any related sciences
• 3-6 years of solid experience in eCommerce and Digital Industry
• Working knowledge of E-Commerce platforms
• Working knowledge of Information Technology Systems
• Proven ability to translate business concepts into technical
requirements
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Solid communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others.
• Proven organizational, project, and time management skills, including the ability to successfully meet
changing priorities and deadlines.
• Proven ability to think creatively and innovatively.
