Job Description
The product designer together with the Product Owner helps define the e-commerce vision for the company, drive progress in the development lifecycle, identify key opportunities for improvement, track business metrics of the product. As a team, we make sure that the development process is on track and that the strategy and key business objectives of the assigned product/channel is realized and brought to life.
The product owner will be responsible for keeping the backlog healthy with prioritized and ready for development requirements that the development team can take and implement. Some of the key day-to-day activities and responsibilities include:
1. Managing and prioritizing the product backlog
2. Translating business strategies requirements into tasks for development
3. Breaking epics into user stories, document requirements, and detailing acceptance criteria
4. Making decisions on priorities and scope
5. Evaluating progress at each stage of development
6. Clarifying any uncertainties the development team may have
7. Managing stakeholders, understanding their requirements, and serve as liaison between stakeholders and development team
8. Staying accessible to development to answer questions
9. Challenging requirements and understanding the business value of each use case
