Duties and Responsibilities
Product Quality and Operational Efficiency
Performs activities indicated in the Daily Checklist for Drives and QCS.
Conducts activities listed in the Load Survey and Checklist of all VFD and DC motors millwide.
Plans and coordinates with Drives Specialist systems nearing obsolescence for proper disposition
Works and coordinates with Machine Operators and Supervisors.
Keeps all Drives, PLC, QCS free from fault and maintains online most of the time.
Monitors the radiation level of Radioactive sources.
Trouble Shooting and Maintenance
Implements and executes the maintenance roadmap schedule of the Section.
Responds to operational calls and request for technical assistance in times of trouble.
Ensures and monitors the continuous operation of Drives and QCS.
Performs periodic speed calibration of Drives Motors.
Continuous Improvement
Implements improvements of projects executed by the Drives Specialist and the department.
Suggests applicable improvements observed in the area of responsibility
Safety and Housekeeping
Executes the house keeping and safety program of the department by practicing 7S daily
Staff Supervision
Leads the contractors and project hires in performing projects of the section.
Acts as Technical lead and assist to Electrical and Instrumentation technician during his shift.
Acts as trainers for the prospective Drives technician.
Management Systems Compliance
Awareness and compliance to policies and procedures as required by the ISO 9001 Standards and other standards implemented in the mill.
Operational Continuity
Relieve or perform the task of Electrical Technician and Instrumentation Technician when needed.
Performs other technician's task as instructed by Team Leader and Supervisor.
Educational Attainment:
BSEE or BSECE graduate, BSIT( Electronics or Electrical), graduate
Skills and Competency Requirements:
Computer Literate( MS EXCEL,Word)
Knowledge of AutoCAD Application
Knowledge in PLC, Pneumatics and Hydraulic Circuits
Ability to Interpret Electrical and P& I diagram.
Drives and DC motor Control Literate.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year experience as Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
Entry Level / Junior, Apprentice Manufacturing and Production Paper / Forest Products 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
