The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) is a U.S. based association dedicated to creating and supporting dynamic communities around the world. ICMA is seeking qualified and dedicated candidate for:
 
DRIVER/MESSENGER
Based in Makati City
 
JOB PURPOSE:
You will support the SURGE Project as a member of the operation team by ensuring safety and adherence to road regulations in the country. You will provide support to the project by safely driving and maintaining SURGE vehicles, ensuring safety of passenger, and delivering asset to places they are needed promptly. 
SCOPE OF WORK:
 
Drive project vehicle and/or car rentals daily as assigned and pre-approved by Supervisor, including routing shuttle service runs, scheduled field trips or any other project-related trips within Luzon, and other driving assignments as required;
Maintain a log in each project vehicle or rental car which clearly shows miles/kilometers driven per trip, purpose of trip, date of trip, dates of service/maintenance and mileage;
Clean assigned vehicle both inside and out on a weekly basis;
Check assigned vehicle daily to ensure that this is operational and safe to drive, including oil, radiator, fan belt, brake fluid, wipers, tires, lights, and signals;
Initiate and supervise any repairs required on assigned vehicle with Supervisor’s approval;
Ensure passenger safety by obeying traffic laws and driving carefully;
Be personally accountable for any traffic violation fines caused by reckless driving;
Report to the Supervisor any accidents and/or injuries sustained in a car accident and file required police reports;
Report to the Supervisor any accident as soon as possible and follow up with law-enforcers as necessary;
Prohibit smoking and/or eating in the vehicle;
Deliver documents and correspondence as assigned, and undertake errands including banks/Philippine government agencies transactions and tasks to support daily office operations including printing, copying and collating of documents;
Undertake any other necessary tasks that the Supervisor assigns. 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for someone with a valid Professional Driver’s License with at least a vocational course graduate.  Five (5) years of driving experience and must know the roads and local driving conditions in the city of Makati and adjacent cities.  Good eyesight.  Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements.  Willingness to be flexible in daily activities and to work beyond 8 (eight) hours if needed.  Organize and efficient, with attention to detail.  Passionate and committed to development work. Possesses strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to accept feedback and work with a team.
