GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE FUNCTION:
The Draftsman will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and plans, utilizing their expertise in hand drafting and computer-aided design (CAD) software. This individual will be responsible for creating full-scale technical drawings and layouts to facilitate the manufacturing of our furniture pieces. Then following the item through all the stages of the prototyping processes to standing completion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate to develop and refine furniture concepts, ensuring alignment with our brand's vision and aesthetic.
Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings, elevations, and 3D renderings.
Perform material calculations and assess weight limitations to ensure structural integrity and feasibility of designs.
Maintain organized project files and documentation, adhering to company standards and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial design, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in furniture design is an advantage.
Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and/ or rendering software, such as 3Ds Max, V-Ray, Rhino, etc.
Good knowledge of furniture construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to design excellence.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
