The Drafter assists the Engineering Department in creating technical drawings of lighting projects, where each fixture is represented in detail for mechanical, electrical and optical components.
Provide 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks, and occasionally AutoCAD. Assemble multi page document layout in InDesign.
Provide an accurate technical specification package, including all pertinent dimensions as well as calculations to specify electrical components.
Manage the drawing part of the projects in respect with settled deadlines.
Communicate with customer service representatives and engineers to obtain all the necessary project information, and keep them updated of the project evolution.
Participate actively in the continuous improvement program in his/her knowledge area, by proposing faster and more efficient ways to create the necessary documentation.
Undertake any tasks as reasonably requested by management team.
At least 5 years of experience in the Lighting industry is an advantage.
At least 5 years of experience in using SolidWorks is required.
Knowledge in AutoCAD and InDesign a plus.
