Objectives of the position: The Distribution Manager is responsible for the strategic business development and operation management of the Company's local distributors in the country. He/she drives the achievement of the distributors' financial and non-financial targets by ensuring that their competencies are at par with, and management and business practices are compliant to BASF standards. Main Areas of Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of go-to-market and distributor strategies. Analyze market data to identify trends and drive business development including enhancing market intelligence in distribution. Steer and monitor the local distributors' performance based on agreed targets and business rules. Collaborate closely with Industry Leads on key account management for small- and medium-d customers. Strengthen and cultivate high-level relationship with key distributors. Train distributors to ensure continual improvement, and maintain a standard in product knowledge, relevant marketing concepts and sales skills. Receive and resolve issues and problems with distributors and internal stakeholders. Share market intelligence information with the Industry Teams and Strategic Business Units to foster information exchange of market trends and analytics. Ensure that business practices of all distributors adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management Engineering, Supply Chain, and other related courses. With at least 8 years of commercial experience in new business development and key account management, and 5 years of direct distributor management experience or distributor work experience preferably with experience across different industries With strong business acumen and agility to adapt to changes in business environment. Possess excellent business negotiation and account management skills. Has excellent communication skills, fluent in both oral and written English. With strong analytical, problem-solving skills, planning, and project management skills. Possess high level of energy and able to maintain stable performance under pressure. With strong abilities in relationship building and collaborating with multi-discipline team members. Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and integrity at work. Possess a valid driver's license.
