Green Skies Dispatching Services LLC is currently searching for an experienced dispatcher to join our team! Our company is looking for a reliable Freight Dispatcher to assist with creating trucking routes that keep costs down but meet Owner/Operator scheduling needs. The Dispatcher will be responsible for using the latest in routing software to establish daily trucking routes that make required stops outlined in customer contracts. The successful candidate for this position needs to have excellent communication skills, be able to adjust to last minute changes, and work with drivers to schedule emergency pick-up or delivery for new or established clients when necessary.
Your primary duties are but not limited to;
Managing daily execution of dispatch and planning processes in order to meet revenue, margin, and service requirements. Must be able to adjust the plan and communicate to others the situation that created the need to alter the plan.
Coordinating acceptance of tenders and available freight with the customer service team to ensure the fleet has adequate volume to meet revenue targets each month. Serving as night time Customer Service Rep, double checking that appointments are made and customers are notified of service issues, and track and trace requests are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Truckload Transportation planning or dispatching office is required.
Experience using standard office equipment; Dispatch Software, DAT and Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point
Basic knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis and data presentation would be helpful
Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving and customer service skills is a must!
