We are currently seeking a Director of Software Engineering who is a dynamic self-starter and team player with a positive, goal-oriented attitude, and a strong sense of urgency and ownership. The right candidate must have the ability to manage multiple complex projects and issues simultaneously. This role will provide project and people leadership for our software team, in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:

-Manage software teams that design, build and maintain solutions across multiple technology products; ensures the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions
-Build and maintain partnerships with all functions to ensure technology team members understand business needs, functional specifications, devops, and user journeys
-Partner with the product team and other internal stakeholders to establish priorities
-Provide insight and guidance, and resolves cross-functional issues that are escalated throughout the application development, testing, implementation, and support lifecycle
-Design and manage a scalable infrastructure, building automated systems when applicable.
-Monitor quality assurance activities from a high level, ensuring that all testing efforts align to the testing strategy
-Provide leadership to the team by attracting and hiring talented individuals, setting goals and communicating clear expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback as well as meaningful developmental opportunities, managing performance, providing resources and support as needed, and sponsoring and leading team members through change
-Influences and establishes best in class engineering practices through solid design decisions and tools
Desired Skills & Experience:

-Must be able to write and speak fluently in English
-Typically 8-12 years of software development experience with demonstrated ability to design and build software from the ground up.
-Proficient with Python/Django, PHP and other object-oriented principles and methodologies.
-Proficient with Javascript and responsive design; React.js proficiency a plus.
-Hands-on experience with component-based architectures, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Google Cloud), relational and non-relational databases, and API design and development.
-Proficient with continuous deployment and integration, automated testing, and technical documentation.
-Obsessive attention to detail and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
-Take initiative and can execute with minimal supervision and high integrity.
-A growth mindset and willingness to go the extra mile for the team's success.
-Willing to follow a process and also take action when it's inefficient or broken.
-Able to move quickly, multi-task, and adapt to rapid changes of our growing market and customer needs.
-Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Salesforce development experience a plus.
