Position Summary:
Director leads the cross functional Integrated Business Planning practice for all corporate Brands, encompassing Global Supply Chain spend across Hotel, Food & Beverage, Marine / Technical, and New Build Procurement. Responsible for leading the monthly cadence of meetings (Demand, Supply, Consensus, and Executive), gaining buy in from key stakeholders across the organization, and driving decisions that lead to improved performance in cost and service. Identify and track value capture opportunities (savings, cost avoidance, service improvements) and coordinate with functional teams to validate and execute those opportunities. Develop and track KPI's related to IBP Program and department operations and escalate opportunities for improvement to leadership. Lead the departments strategic and project management efforts, and prioritizes/monitors tasks related to the execution and implementation of a broad agenda. Accountable for HF&B Planning, Analytics, and Fulfillment teams and ensuring accurate and on time bid cycles, market alignment, and fulfillment of orders to the fleet. Role is best suited for self-directed, resourceful person with broad experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Organizing Demand, Supply, Consensus plan, and Executive IBP monthly practice across the business functions. Heavy emphasis on forecasting the categories across Global Markets and reconciling the demand and supply plans to reach consensus among the groups.
Significant leadership to ensure business functions are engaged, focused on deliverables, and combined cross functional teams (Brand Operations, Finance, and Procurement) effectively complete the monthly IBP deliverables resulting in improved Cost and Service.
Responsible for the forecasting, demand and supply planning, and reconciliation of HF&B spend in excess of $850M. Review and develop category level strategies for portfolio of -25K+ SKU's.
Escalate with senior management as performance improvement in categories and process is identified and recommended, including potential value capture for each recommendation.
Strong leadership to ensure timely decisions to drive cost and service performance.
Develop KPI's and status checks across IBP Pillars, including supplier performance opportunities, SKU management, Inventory Management, and report to leadership for prioritization.
Drive development and maintenance of Supply & Demand Planning operating model, identify gaps / opportunities between models, and lead cross functional teams to develop strategies to close or mitigate impact.
Drive resolution of new data quality and integrity impacting the process output with key stakeholders.
Drive follow-up of the actions and decisions made in each working group (Supply, Demand, Consensus) and at the end of each monthly IBP cycle.
Manage the Fleet Services group - Lead team of 35+ agents responsible for the global fulfillment of hotel, food & beverage purchase orders.
Identify and implement process and reporting efficiencies across the fulfillment process, including regular reporting on PO and fulfillment, open orders, manual orders (OPJ), supplier ASN and other departmental metrics.
Responsible for developing and managing global bid cycles consistent with major agricultural commodity cycles, with results tied to Government and NGO statistical reporting (USDA, BLS, Federal Reserve, etc). Ensure proper planning and timely execution of bids and awards.
Supervise and lead updates on CT Markets aligned with market calendar, including changes in product cost and sourcing strategies. Maintain integrity of CT markets as it relates to item set-up, cost, and supplier selection; ensure cruise profiles are maintained with correct market linking as defined by regional sourcing strategy
Lead and Direct Frequent Ad Hoc Analysis / Updates requested by Upper Management. Provide guidance related to HF&B Cost Inflation, and potential cost impact due to menu changes, venue changes, or program implementations.
Procurement Forecasting - Develop forecast model for all HF&B categories globally and regionally including scenario planning for changes in vessel load factor, service period, deployment / regionality, and demographic indicators.
Develop and maintain supplier inventory data collection process, including product expiration dates; Lead meetings with procurement team to identify potential shortages or expirations to action.
Lead the development and execution of sustainable sourcing initiatives, develop data collection processes to comply with sustainable sourcing commitments and third-party certifications (MSC/ASC), including periodic data audits to ensure consistency and compliance.
Implement food safety programs to monitor product recalls and identify impact / risk to business, and support data efforts on food nutritional information and allergens.
Create Capital Project memos and produce business cases as well as any required analysis. Work in partnership with Capital Planning team to track budget, status and long-term plans
Develop and track cost savings initiatives across supply chain departments and provide periodic reporting to upper management; Validate F&B sourcing activities and assess their ability to provide significant improvement of over current processes.
Provide data-driven solutions and corrective actions required to address issues encountered with the implementation of a new products, menus, etc.
Collaborate with Treasury, Accounting, Financial, and Commodity Institutions in development and management food price risk management program
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Finance, Engineering or other highly analytical field from an accredited college or university. Post graduate degree and/or engineering studies are highly preferred
Five to seven years of related experience and ability to supervise 1-5 direct reports
Travel up to 30%
The Director must lead and maintain constant communication with multiple departments across the organization.
Advanced analytical skills should include mathematical modeling, broad exposure to operations research and statistics.
Microsoft Office Suite, Crunchtime, Hyperion, Essbase, Agricultural Market knowledge, F&B operations knowledge
Strong communication skills as collaboration with multiple parties will be necessary
Responsible for overseeing annual HF&B expense in excess of $850M
Provide critical analysis on key commodities with annual value of $20-50 million each
