Position Description: The Canada Intellectual Property (IP) Council is a cross-country, cross business unit council with a mandate to focus on the expansion of our IP businesses, through new IP, importing of non-Canadian CGI IP and exporting Canadia Position Description: The Canada Intellectual Property (IP) Council is a cross-country, cross business unit council with a mandate to focus on the expansion of our IP businesses, through new IP, importing of non-Canadian CGI IP and exporting Canadian IP within CGI. Our IP solutions service many of Canada's largest and industry leading firms, across the country and across industries. As Director, you will be the primary leader and accountable person for the activities, priorities and deliveries of the IP Canada Council. This position is responsible for establishing and ensuring we have a strong governance model in place, developing the required internal partnerships, and driving key IP metric measurement and reporting. In this role, you will be supported by Senior Consultants reporting to you. Your future duties and responsibilities: . Establish Canada IP Council priorities to achieve our goal of IP30 (30% of revenue from IP) . Set IP related objectives for the Canadian SBU, and promote to individual Business Units . Responsible for tracking and providing oversight of all Canada IP Council initiatives . Represent Canada IP interests in Global IP initiatives . Provide Canada IP level metrics, tracking and reporting to Canada Cabinet . Chair all IP Council meetings . Manage senior consultants Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Ability to lead and drive change across many stakeholders . Relevant IP experience, preferably in an IP ownership role . Proven self-starter abilities . Experience being a leader in an 'impact without authority' role . Capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously . Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Ability to work in a multi discipline business environment .
