This position is responsible for ensuring Celebrity brand operations maintains compliance with the rapidly changing public health, safety, sustainability, scientific, and regulatory landscape. This position will manage the holistic implementation of all CDC, Global Public Health, and scientific protocol requirements, leveraging the Public Health Officers and Environmental Officers onboard and in alignment with shoreside RCG Public Health, Medical, and Safety and Environmental teams. This position will be in charge of brand testing and vaccination strategies, and oversee the preparation for and response to public health emergencies onboard by leading COVID Assessment and Situation Report calls, and by attending outbreak responses as needed. This position will work with Global Intelligence teams to ensure the destinations our ships visit pose minimal risk to our guests and crew, and have all the necessary port agreements and public health infrastructure in place. This position will monitor global and local sustainability regulations, and manage brand sustainability compliance and strategy. This role will make data driven decisions and recommendations, build our Sustainability strategy and stay in close collaboration with all RCG shared service groups, including but not limited to Medical, Public Health, Safety, Environment, Global Security and Energy Management and ESG teams. This position represents the brand regarding Public Health, Medical, Safety, Sustainability and regulatory compliance. Sustainability strategy is key for the future success of the brand and the director will be the Liaison and Leader of the brand for Environmental, Social and Governance in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures regulatory compliance with all CDC and applicable Global Public Health authority requirements.
Leads oversight and implementation of latest Public Health protocols, Healthy Sail Panel recommendations, and scientific public health guidance.
Manages brand testing and vaccination strategy in alignment with shoreside Public Health and Medical teams.
Monitors global intelligence reporting on destination public health risks, and uses data driven decision models to inform go/no-go port calls.
Tracks status of regulatorily required port agreements and destination public health infrastructure capabilities.
Manages brand sustainability compliance & strategy in collaboration with Energy Management team working closely with the Environmental officers and marine onboard Teams.
Prepares stakeholders and leads COVID assessment calls and sitrep calls for the brand.
Attends and oversees outbreak response situations onboard or in port as needed.
Manages onboard Public Health Officers and Medical teams in partnership with shoreside Public Health and Medical Teams
Supports onboard Public Health and Environmental Officer as well as Sustainability brand strategy training efforts for all Marine and Hotel shoreside and onboard Leadership.
Guided by data driven decision modeling guide and collaborates with all relevant RCG shared service groups.
Leads the Sustainability strategy for the Brand.
Financial Responsibilities:
Responsible for testing and vaccination strategy budgets
Responsible for budgeting of sustainability projects, capital or otherwise
Responsible to manage all Sustainability projects for the Brand
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred.
8 -10 years of experience in the industry required, including at least 4 years of experience in the regulatory framework compliance or regulatory field.
Experience navigating international public health, medical, and environmental regulations.
Experience with COVID vaccination and testing strategies
Deep knowledge in sustainability, climate change, ESG topics, and current trends
Cross-functional management skills; ability to bring people together around a common goal and lead by influence.
Highly skilled in data analysis and building smart and efficient cross-functional processes.
Strong written and presentation skills for high-visibility storytelling, both internally and externally; adept at synthesizing complex inputs from multiple stakeholders

Knowledge and Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to clearly promote and negotiate the companys needs to government authorities, and effectively communicate regulatory compliance related matters to all levels of employees and management.
