What you'll be doing: Direct Procurement Lead is responsible for assigned direct spend commodities in terms of :
- existing and new suppliers management , and
- sourcing strategies development, management, and execution
to meet the overall corporate objectives in terms of service, quality, innovation, sustainability/circularity, and lowest total cost of ownership.
Key responsibilities:
The DIRECT PRCOUREMENT LEAD manages and leads the Sourcing Strategies for the assigned Direct Raw Materials for Beauty business.
The position is expected to, but is not limited to, develop existing and new suppliers with APAC cluster capabilities, maximizing their values for the company with regards to service, quality, innovation, lowest total cost of ownership, and sustainability to meet business targets aligned with company's triple bottom line framework: Social, Environmental, and Financial.
The position will serve as Direct Materials Procurement lead working with APAC cross-functional teams in identifying and collaborating with other regional and global procurement leads in overall identification, implementation, and management of direct materials sourcing operations and cost savings initiatives.
He/She is responsible for maintaining Suppliers' compliance to Contracts/Service Level Agreements and other Avon requirements.
We'd love you to have:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Material Managements, or Supply Chain Management, or their equivalents.
Business Experience:
Previous professional experience (minimum of 5 years progressive experience in procurement and sourcing) in a packaging and/or chemicals commodities; good supplier and process knowledge plus in understanding of environmental and social issues of packaging and/or chemicals; Experience in supply planning and/or innovation management for FMCG is a plus.
Functional Knowledge / Technical Expertise:
Person must have working knowledge and experience on sourcing policies and procedures, supplier management, sourcing dynamics with other supply chain functions; Working knowledge/experience on Strategic Working Methodology, Total Cost of Ownership/Cost Structures, sourcing policies and procedures; experience in using common sourcing tools such as SAP/ SAP-Ariba, Microsoft Office, above average use of Excel and Power Point; experience conducting RFPs, RFQs, bidding with little support.
